Added Perplexity-User Check
AI Search Console now checks for Perplexity-User bot.
SEO used to be simple. You’d build a site, get indexed by GoogleBot, and then you’d wait for the traffic to come in.
Now, not only are new AI-powered search engines like Perplexity indexing your site, but they’re sending a bot to read your site and make decisions about whether or not to include it in answer to a person in real time.
Making it incredibly important that your site isn’t inadvertently blocking these bots from reading your site.
To help with this, we’ve added a new check to the AI Search Console to see if your site can be read in real-time by their Perplexity-User'bot as well as being indexed by PerplexityBot` indexer.
Even better, the AI Search Console will check for 20 additional AI search bots from Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, Meta, and more.
