Suggested questions are only as good as the keywords behind them. We’ve rebuilt question generation to start from a much stronger source: the keywords your site actually ranks for, plus the gaps where your competitors rank and you don’t.
What changed
Previously, question generation leaned on general keyword ideas for your site. Now it pulls two targeted sets:
- Your ranked keywords, filtered to commercial and transactional intent — the searches where you already have standing and a buyer is in the picture
- Competitor gap keywords — searches where a competitor ranks and you don’t, kept broad (including informational questions) because that’s the opportunity set
Both paths strip out brand-name keywords, so your suggestions are real questions buyers ask rather than branded searches.
Cleaner in-between states
Generation happens in stages — keywords come in first, then get classified into questions. While that’s in flight, unclassified keyword stubs no longer show up in your question views, so you won’t see half-formed entries mid-generation.
Who gets it
This is the standard path for every new site, whether you add it during signup or from your account. If you want an existing topic re-seeded from the keywords it ranks for, get in touch.
