Select Which Questions to Track

Fine tune your question selection

Ryan Castillo

We made a mistake.

Last month we introduced a new feature that surfaced ALL the questions that people are likely to be asking about a brand (good!) and then automatically marked them all to be tracked in the AI search services (not good!).

A comprehensive list of questions is useful for defining a content strategy, discovering the volume of AI chat traffic, and understanding the new ways that people are trying to find out about your brand.

However, immediately tracking all of those questions introduced a lot of noise into the reports and took way too long to update in real time.

Consider navigational questions like “how do I log into X?”, which isn’t strategic to track, contains no buying intent and has essentially zero AI Chat search volume.

It shouldn’t be automatically tracked, but it was.

With this update you now have the best of both worlds:

  1. For each site/brand we still automatically generate a report of all of the questions people are asking AI about your brand.
  2. From that list of questions you can now select which ones are most important to track.

Bonus: Reports now update very quickly and you can of course add or import your own custom list of questions to track.
